The Assistant Fitness Manager (AFM) supports the Fitness Manager, at a specific Steve Nash Fitness World & Sports Club location.
In this position the AFM maintains a client base, ensures team members activities align with our brand standards, supports our members and encourages their participation in personal training, and works towards achieving monthly sales goals.
Act as an ambassador of the Steve Nash Fitness World & Sports Club brand.
Support the Fitness Manager with assigned management tasks.
Support team members in prospecting and generating their client base.
Assist members and guests with fitness and personal training questions and inquiries.
Develop and maintain a client base by providing assessments, conducting regular follow-ups, and demonstrating the value of personal training.
Prepare fitness and exercise programs specific to the client’s needs.
Demonstrate how to conduct exercises safely.
Encourage and motivate clients to achieve their goals and strive for results.
Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests.
Willingness to learn and use social media.
Additional duties may be assigned.
Education & Qualifications
One year of experience as a Personal Trainer
One to three years of experience in customer service
Certified as a Personal Trainer (ACE, ACSM, BCRPA, CFES, CSEP, NASM, etc.)
CPR / First Aid Certification
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively; strong customer service skills
Team player with a positive approach; ability to coach and motivate others
Strong organizational skills
Has a passion for health and fitness
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Proficient computer use skills
Must be physically able to perform the position
