Description of the job

In your role, you will :

  • Provide support to the Airbus Customization team in the development of proposals to potential airline / lessor customers during sales campaigns, and the subsequent definition and execution of aircraft configuration milestones.
  • Lead the "specing" process of the aircraft after Purchase Agreement (PA), and drive the Configuration Definition Freeze (CDF), Engineering Specifications release and aircraft launch into production.
  • Have a good grasp of commitments made during sales campaigns (i.e. optional list and cabin configuration - LOPA) and, as such, play a key role in all Customer Definition and Product Offering activities after PA, including support to aircraft deliveries.
  • Manage the ongoing customer relationship, once a contract is signed with a customer (regular communication with signed customers, key updates, project management of configuration process, raising Price & Offerability requests, etc.
  • and support product offering strategies with internal stakeholders as well as suppliers.

  • Track customer commitments made during the aircraft definition phase (LOPA Offerability, optional features availability, Technical Coordination Meetings actions, etc.)
  • As our ideal candidate,

  • You hold a university degree in engineering preferably mechanical, electrical or aerospace. MBA is a definite asset
  • You have a minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years' experience in aerospace. Experience in an operational department at a major airline and / or experience in fleet planning or aircraft acquisition is an asset
  • You have a thorough aircraft technical knowledge and understanding of aircraft interiors
  • You have the ability to interact with airline customers
  • You are autonomous and well organized
  • You are innovative, flexible and resourceful
  • You have strong oral and written communications skills
  • You have a willingness to travel
  • You are familiar with design, integration and certification of aircraft systems or components
