    Right now, one of the team’s biggest priorities is the Positive Train Control (PTC) project. PTC is a government-regulated initiative to better monitor and control train movements.

    It consists of highly advanced technologies designed to prevent incidents and provide increased safety.

To transport these goods with increasingly better reliability, efficiency and safety, we are deploying an advanced Internet of Things (IoT) connected railroad program as well as continuously investigating innovative operational technologies (OT).

    The role requires people skills to influence and orient business and technical audience toward a common goal that is satisfying all stakeholders.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage day to day activities, both operational and project related with an emphasis in solution quality and stakeholder management

    Lead the service, delivery and technical strategies for all OT system architecture solutions

    Develop team and own capabilities based on 0-3 years technology / solution evolution plans

    Create / manage team workforce plan

    Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery (BCP / DR) readiness for network

    Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations (ability to convert L1 business requirements into L2 solution requirements)

    Communicate regularly with senior internal customers and peers within OT to ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-

    user requirements and resolve systems issues.

    Establish efficient collaboration with all groups involved in the delivery of the OT solutions, including for example Mechanical, Signal and Communication, Engineering, IT, etc.

    Responsible for ensuring that the team delivers on-time and with high quality standards

    Effectively manage team performance and set direction for goals and development of employees, conduct succession planning and manage training requirements

    Participate in budget preparation

    Coordinates, evaluates and partners with vendors

    Work with Railway Industry partners to ensure the operational integrity of our common B2B Industry solutions

    REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or equivalent experience

    10+ years experience in roles involving complex technical solutions and progressively more leadership responsibilities

    Broad and deep technical knowledge in the following domains, but not limited to, telecommunications, networking, infrastructure, security, data analytics, open system, IOT, railroad industry (locomotives, wayside, signaling, etc.)

    Proven people and business leadership

    Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex issues and ability to present clear solutions with practical technical and business value

    Technology savvy and ability to stay abreast of technological changes

    Operational and results focus

    Engage and inspire passion motivate and empower people

    Tactful and exercise good judgment

    Process driven and able to turn strategy into tactical actionable tasks
