Our client, a prestigious commercial office complex located in the heart of the downtown core is looking for a Customer Service Guard to join their team.
As a Customer Service Guard, the primary responsibility will be to monitor the area and offer exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
This high-profile location conveniently connects our client and tenants to a vibrant downtown business community, an array of city-wide transit options, over 1,000 retail shops and services, major hotels, restaurants and world-class entertainment and sporting venues.
What you’ll be doing
Greet all patrons to the site in a friendly and positive manner
Remain posted at entrance of the building and assisting with entry and exit of the building
Assist customers requiring assistance for tenant directions and employees with access request or any other questions they might have
Assist contractors working in the building with directions, access request etc.
Remind employees and general public to wear face masks upon entering the building
Monitor for any maintenance issues on the ground floor
Assist with escorting emergency services i.e. EMS, Police, and Fire Department
Re-direct any information relating to leaks, medicals, fire etc. to control along with any elevator issues should they arise
Enforce relevant laws and regulations pertaining to all individuals on the property and detect and engage unauthorized persons and violators of security procedures
Provide a visible presence that enforces safety and security
Performing CPR and First Aid, when required
Report rule infractions and violations
Use radio or other communication devices in a clear and concise manner
Crowd control for special events or entrance closures

What we’re looking for
Excellent communication skills English is required
Previous experience in the security industry would be an asset
Valid Provincial Security Guard licence
Strong computer skills
Customer service oriented and professional
Must be able to work days / nights and / or rotating shifts
Must meet physical requirements of standing for the entirety of 12 hours shift
Leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a stressful environment
