We are looking for a talented Operator / Commissioning Technologist to work on a 2 week IN / OUT schedule at one of our client sites near Rankin Inlet, Nunavut .

You may live anywhere in Canada and fly in / fly out. You will work in partnership at site with other Saltworks' staff, client staff, and our team in Richmond.

Saltworks installed and operates an advanced evaporative crystallizer treating mine water discharge, which represents the future of advanced mine water treatment.

This is a permanent position, which can transition into a full-time position at our Richmond, BC headquarters, leading commissioning and testing of plants before they are shipped, and when they are installed at customer sites.

Main responsibilities :

  • Maintain safe, reliable operations of customer water treatment plants, trained and fully supported by Saltworks team.
  • Report operational performance, maintenance requirements to trades and Saltworks, while completing basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Work 2 week IN / OUT x 12 hour on-site shifts, with all travel and accommodation provided, plus living away daily bonus.
  • Communicate risks and opportunities.

  • Qualifications :

  • Experience commissioning or operating plants
  • Post-secondary education in fields related to mechanical, process, or electrical
  • Ability to read and understand PFDs, operate control systems via HMIs, hands-on skills to troubleshoot process or mechanical issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, maintain a high quality of work and learn new skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure; the team is extremely supportive, and you are always backed-up.
  • Positive attitude, a can-do approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in as required.
