Overview of the Role

The Sales Analyst reports to the Vice President, Retail & Food Service Sales, National Accounts, and will be an active participant in the National Account Team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Sobeys Account Team in the analysis and co-ordination of the sales and marketing activities required to profitably grow the business.

The successful candidate will be curious, self-motivated, someone who will take initiative, and enjoy facing new challenges, while maintaining the weekly / monthly routine tasks.

They must be responsible for maintaining an efficient and effective office environment and displaying a high level of professionalism, organization and communication skills.

How you will make contributions that matter :

  • Support the National Account Team with administration, sales related tasks and procedures;
  • Compile data from Saputo & customer sales systems to analyze, evaluate and report data in actionable insights / analytics that the Account Team can leverage;
  • Analyse sales data & trends, and evaluate performance to identify both budget variances and business opportunities;
  • Maintain Weekly / Monthly / Annual Reporting and provide recommendations in support of ongoing business decisions or initiatives;
  • Ongoing optimization of sales reports to increase efficiencies and focus on performing analysis;
  • Provide customized reporting and recommendation in support of ongoing business decisions or initiatives;
  • Assist with building presentations and completing special project;
  • Coordinate and monitor pricing changes and ensure accuracy of published price plans;
  • Ensure all correspondence and reports are completed in a timely and thorough matter (attention to detail is critical;
  • Maintain a high knowledge and understanding of all Saputo marketing plans and policies, operating procedures and products;
  • All other duties and projects assigned

    You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications :

  • Post-secondary Diploma or Degree preferred;
  • Proficiency with MS Office with advanced Excel skills and ability to learn new software;
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with others;
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with solid financial / accounting competencies;
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative;
  • Strong team orientation and dependable;
  • Ability to work efficiently / effectively under pressure in a multi-tasking, high priority environment;
  • Inquisitive mindset and desire to learn
