Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with USI customers by providing courteous, efficient and professional delivery service in a safe and timely manner
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery
  • Verify invoices to ensure that order is exact, may assist with picking products for orders
  • Deliver products to our customers
  • Pick up deliveries from various vendors and return products to warehouse
  • Managing inventory at customer location
  • Stocking and ordering products at customer location
  • Examine the condition of the merchandise at delivery or prior to accepting delivery , examine the condition of the merchandise with the customer and have customer sign-off on delivery
  • Organize daily pick-up of customer cores, returns and warranties without disrupting delivery efficiency
  • Accurately record all deliveries and pickups made and ensures proper paperwork accompanies all customer cores, returns and warranties
  • Check daily fluid levels of the vehicle, the tire condition and ensures cleanliness inside and outside the vehicle
  • Follow all policies and standard operating procedures related to cash, credit, check, refund and return policies. Work with the management team to react to customer service issues, customer complaints, and / or business opportunities.
  • Adhere to inventory control programs, in-stock standards and all operating procedures
  • Effectively communicate with all store and support center team members, management and customers
  • Other store support related duties including but not limited to supporting the warehouse functions and delivery / pickup of product as required
  • Completing month-end and year end audits for external customer
  • Follow all rules and regulations of the road at all times
  • Must comply Transportation of Dangerous goods regulations
  • Check-ins with Store Manager on delivery progress / delays
  • Participate in cycle count programs and annual physical inventory
  • May assist with customer service activities within store location.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Requirements Education, Experience and Technical skills

  • High School Diploma completed or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in retail is an asset
  • Experience working with hand trucks or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods

  • Extensive sitting, standing, walking, pushing and reaching
  • Need full range of motion for reaching, bending and stooping
  • Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs
  • Lifting of heavy equipment of up to 50 pounds
  • May work outside and be exposed to weather
  • Exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust

  • Must be available to work flexible hours and / or on call as needed
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record (driver’s abstract)
