Position Overview :

Manages accounting team to process routine transactions which ensures the organization maintains accurate records, pays invoices, receives payments, and follows various regulations.

Responsibilities :

  • Manages a team to create, maintain and store records and / or follow established procedures related to one of the following accounting sub-
  • disciplines : general ledger, journal entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections, intercompany transfers, accounting system utilization, etc.

  • Provides leadership to individual contributors through setting goals which align to department plans and manages the execution of goals through coaching and mentoring.
  • Provides division leadership with reports as needed.
  • Responsible for overall accuracy of financial data.
  • Drives project related work as necessary through division / entity teams.
  • Hires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback. Sets goals which align to department plans and manages the execution of goals through coaching and mentoring.
  • Maintains a safe and professional work environment.

  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
  • Required Skills & Abilities :

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment, international experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Required Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in various phases of accounting in a complex multi-site environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity.

  • 3 years of medical device experience preferred
  • 5 years of experience working with finance / accounting related software packages
  • Previous experience managing multimillion dollar cash flow
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise / cross division business unit model preferred.
