Golder has a new opportunity for a Water / Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our Water Treatment team in a Full-Time position at our Denver, CO office.

Your primary responsibilities will include :

  • Serving several sectors including mining, manufacturing, oil and gas, power, waste, and remediation / reclamation;
  • Working under supervision of mid-level and senior-level engineers to perform tasks related to :
  • Supporting operations at mine water treatment plants
  • Conducting bench-scale and pilot-scale treatability studies including developing plans, executing work, data management, reporting, and oversight
  • Analyzing water quality data
  • Working on alternative evaluations, cost estimate, pre-feasibility, and feasibility report preparation
  • Process development work including preparing calculations on equipment sizing, reagent consumption, secondary waste generation, etc.
  • Creating process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams
  • Preparing process and mechanical drawings, in coordination with other disciplines
  • Preparing technical specifications
  • Supporting environmental permitting
  • Hands-on execution of bench-scale and pilot-scale treatability studies, sample collection, commissioning support, operations support and other field work required and typically includes travel (field assignments can vary from several days to several months).
  • Required :

  • An undergraduate degree in chemical, environmental, or civil engineering or a related discipline
  • Clear and effective written and oral communication skills
  • EIT certification (or eligibility to obtain within a year)
  • Preferred :

  • 2 to 6 years experience in water / wastewater treatment or related field
  • Experience in consulting industry a plus
  • Coursework or educational focus on water / wastewater treatment.
  • Interest and / or experience in treatment plant operations
  • Strong data review, manipulation, and management skills
  • Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment
