Job Title : Sales Specialist 12 Month Contract

Location : Calgary, Alberta

The Sales Specialist will be focused on the acquisition of new customers for TELUS New Growth Markets (NGM) within Small Business Solutions (SBS).

The TELUS New Growth Markets team partners with commercial real estate developers to bring PureFibre technology to their developments and tenants.

This role requires someone who is highly motivated and driven by success with a sales hunter mentality.

Please note this is a contracted role that carries a compensation structure dependent on experience.

Position Overview :

Key member of the NGM sales team and play a fundamental role in achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives

Interact directly with all levels of management on customer accounts

Identify key customer requirements and presents TELUS solutions that meet those requirements

Key Responsibilities :

Achieving sales quota by managing NGM SBS accounts for new and existing customers

Conduct needs analysis for clients

Provide accurate and timely forecast, target / objective updates to deliver on revenue growth objectives

Continued sales funnel nurturing through a combination of opportunity identification from commercial partnered developments and cold calling

Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services

Understanding current and prospective customers technology needs, business issues and buying motives

Delivering the right solution for client's evolving business requirements with prompt and efficient service

Building trust and loyalty with key decision makers

Act as a subject matter expert on Small Business Solutions products and services

Experience, Skills and Background :

Independent with a strong sales hunter mentality

Proven record of exceeding sales quota

Ability to effectively manage and communicate a sales funnel and be able to forecast expected results

Strong negotiation and problem solving skills while dealing with business clients

Able to sell / manage business solutions and manage the client lifecycle

Selecting and qualifying profitable opportunities

Achieving sales volume objectives within NGM specific commercial territory

Ability to deliver on growth and profitability

Accomplishes goals with minimal direction or supervision while making decisions within guidelines

Strong organizational skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to informally lead and influence peers to drive performance

Demonstrates strong customer service

PC skills including SalesForce.com, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite

Required Education and Experience

Post-secondary and / or equivalent experience

2-3 years sales experience, including outside sales

Telecommunications experience considered an asset

Knowledge of commercial real estate ecosystem considered an asset
