Location : Toronto, ON, Canada

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • This position will be to work at customer location who is a leading industrial company in renewables and clean energy.
  • Focus in Instrumentation Engineering with leadership and organizational skills
  • Lead the basic and detail design from an instrumentation point of view of the customer product platform (datasheets, instrument selection, loops, hookups, purchasing).
  • Coordinate and Perform electrical deliverables and review the work done by suppliers and subcontractors
  • Connect with the cross-functional lead (process, electrical, mechanical) for the resolution of interfaces (e.g. Hookups, P&iDs, Etc)
  • Gather customer requirements and customize the product deliverables for customer integration
  • Required Skills (Technical Competency) :

  • Bachelors in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Process Instrumentation & Control ideally for skid / modular systems in oil & gas / etc
  • Design for hazardous areas (ATEX / explosion protection)
  • Knowledgeable of North American Standards (plus not mandatory)
  • 7-10 years relevant experience
  • Required Skills (Soft Skills) :

  • Able to organize work (project management)
  • Lead the execution, from an instrumentation point of view, of the design of the customer product platform subsystems.
  • Support the execution of customer projects.
  • Physical Requirements & Work Environment :

  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
