Role description

Unity Technologies is looking for a Lead Marketing Artist to grow our creative team. The role will involve engaging and coordinating with internal and external teams to drive successful ad creative innovations, experiments, and successful user acquisition campaigns.

The indie community is full of talented and creative individuals who are building innovative products and in some cases establishing companies who are looking to bring their passion projects to the market.

In this role, you will work as part of a cross-functional team that looks to bring these projects to the market. You will personally oversee the ad creative team that brings these projects to life.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and build a team of marketing artists whose goal is to provide performant free-to-play mobile ad creatives for user acquisition managers
  • Create, illustrate, and animate video, display, and / or playable advertisements for a variety of mobile games
  • Define, experiment, and iterate on ad concepts for our partner studios
  • Leverage and dream up technologies that can drive the creative creation and optimization process
  • Utilize tools like Sensor Tower or Apptopia to understand and define creative trends in game advertising
  • Own the relationship and day-to-day communication with creative partners and services
  • Define and improve creative processes and best practices
  • Manage pipeline of creative production that can make tradeoffs between speed and quality when necessary
  • Requirements

  • Experience leading a creative team or strategy within a mobile game studio
  • Proven excellence in 2D and 3D using tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Maya, and Blender
  • Good knowledge of the Unity Engine
  • Passion for free-to-play mobile games
  • Comfortable getting hands-on with large amounts of data (Excel, Imply, Looker, etc) and ability to partner with internal data analyst teams to deliver analysis that will drive creative strategy
  • Knowledge of the mobile advertising industry, from ad chann
  • els to creative technologies
  • Ability to jump between strategic guidance and tactical execution across different studios and partners
  • Ability to communicate complex problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical teams
