As a member of our Infrastructure group, you will provide insight and innovative construction solutions to ensure the successful execution of various infrastructure projects, such as : roadways, highways and interchanges;
bridges and overpasses; water and wastewater treatment facilities; transmission lines; general / public transportation including airports, seaports and light rail transit lines (LRTs);
and conventional and alternative power generation like wind farms and district energy facilities. You will also further hone your skills operating under various delivery methods including Design-
Build, P3 (Public-Private Partnership), Construction Management and IPD (Integrated Project Delivery).
About The Role
The Senior Project Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and will have an in-depth knowledge of Infrastructure / Civil construction with a specialization in energy.
As a Senior Project Manager at Graham you will :
Ensure the successful completion of project, its profitability and for retaining the owner as a continuing client of Graham
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy
Ensure that the project is constructed safely and in accordance with design, budget, and schedule
Contribute as appropriate to the pre-award process by determining project scope, planning, and estimating
Monitor / control the construction progress through administrative direction of on-site project personnel to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget
Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests and maintain good relationships with client
Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
Assist, review and negotiate contracts; liaising with legal counsel, as appropriate, in conjunction with Operations Manager
Develop, recommend and implement the project plan, after being awarded the project
Coach / mentor, provide direction, and review the performance of personnel reporting directly to the Project Manager
Monitor and control progress, costs and budgets throughout the project
Resolve disputes between the company and owner, or Company and subcontractors when possible prior to the department manager's involvement
Identify required and optional changes in project scope; negotiate change orders with the owner
Manage claims and claims avoidance
To be Successful at Graham, you will have the following qualifications and experience :
Either a Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering degree or related technical degree
Over 10 years’ experience leading Infrastructure Projects ($100 million +) for a large general contractor
Experience with large EPC Contractors or industrial clients
A specialization in energy projects
A strong civil (earthworks, reinforced concrete) knowledge with some structural and mechanical understanding
A detailed understanding of all aspects of construction : technology, equipment, materials, bid management, claims management and safety
