Our engineers work with a cross-disciplinary team of engineers on client projects involving civil / structural design, modification and analysis with primary focus on design of modifications to the physical structures of nuclear power plants.
You will support project teams involved in the design, modification, and analysis of power plant systems, create designs, prepare calculations, draft specifications and technical reports to support client requirements.
Occasional travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs required.
Qualifications / Requirements :
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or associated field.
2-5 years of related practical work experience.
Experience in the preparation of design calculations, drawings, specification
Ability to author technical reports and modification packages
Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD Software, MathCAD experience a plus
Working proficiency with structural analysis software, 3-D modeling
Knowledge / use of AISC and ACI Codes
Piping analysis and use of ASME B&PV Code is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e. without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future).
Able and willing to travel for varied work assignments at client facilities, includes inspections and walkdowns at nuclear facilities
EIT completion is a plus
