Responsibilities :

  • Manage the implementations of solutions to meet O.Reg 633 / 21 Energy Data - Green Button throughout the entire project phases.
  • Create, review, update and maintain all project documentation.
  • Review, recommend, acquire, integrate and manage implementation of technology solutions for utilities staff.
  • Conduct market research and prepare feasibility studies, business cases, budget requests and project charters.
  • Consult with stakeholders in order to define product functions, service functions, business processes, and business system requirements.
  • Work with Communication teams to prepare for media engagement and responses. Lead customer information plans and respond to customer enquiries.
  • Identify goals for planning, design and development of business systems or recommend alternative solutions.
  • Lead and participate in the preparation of RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation.
  • Work with Legal and procurement teams to create contracts, terms and conditions and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Work with clients, technical IT staff, and vendors to identify possible options and implications, define alternatives, select a systems strategy, and produce functional specifications.
  • Ensure the functionalities and technology platform of the business systems meet the short and long term needs of the organization.
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems, writing improved procedures.
  • Create systems proposals, models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
  • Coordinate and work with users performing in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users and back-up staff for all modified and new systems.
  • Assist in performing periodic system audits, security penetration tests.
  • Attend Council, Committee, community, and other public meetings and events as required to provide professional advice, opinion and expertise.
  • Participate in industry working groups, Ontario Energy Board, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Environment meetings as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Requirements :

  • 3-year degree or diploma in a related field such as Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or a related discipline.
  • 4-7 years of related experience.
  • Project management skills, PMP designation an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Tool Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project, SharePoint and PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of analytical tools, programming languages, database management systems and cyber security best practices.
  • Familiarity with North American Energy Standards Board’s (NAESB) REQ.21 Energy Services Provider Interface (ESPI) version 3.
  • 3 standard (commonly known as the Green Button).

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current Employee must be reliable with good attitude, attendance and employment record (no disciplinary action on file).
