What does the role mean?

As the Business Operations Manager, reporting to the Head of Product, you are leading our Efficiency Squad, composed of SalesForce admins and developers.

Your focus is the continuous improvement of the company’s functions, processes and tools.

Part Product Manager, part Business Analyst, you are owning the Squad backlog, from feature requests on internal tools to bug fixing and software integrations.

You are capable of writing detailed product specifications for your team as well as handling the selection & implementation of the company’s next phone platform vendor.

As the go-to person for internal systems, you keep a constant feedback loop with your stakeholders, from Sales operations to Marketing as well as the CTO.

Even under pressure from several teams, you’re capable of prioritizing the tasks that will have the most impact on our strategic goals and communicate your roadmap to the company across all levels.

Ultimately, you will be the custodian of Bus.com efficiency framework.

What does a day as Business Operations Manager look like?

  • Follow up on the current sprint tasks, making sure no one from your team is blocked
  • Spec an important new feature on our internal booking platform.
  • Browse the feedback channels for the latest new ideas or bug reports
  • Meet with your tech team lead to prepare for the next sprint
  • Set up a trial with a potential vendor to replace our ticketing system
  • Update the sales director about a new business flow that should improve repeat business tracking
  • Have a good laugh with your teammates about the latest meme posted on the slack general channel
  • Sync with the rest of the product team to ensure everyone is aligned
  • Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, computer science or any other relevant field
  • Proven work with similar responsibilities
  • Strong analytical & communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical details
  • A good problem-solving attitude
  • Team player
  • Working knowledge of SalesForce is a plus
