We are looking for urgent freelance help for this role. ideal candidates will be available immediately for a short-term freelance contract.

This role comes at a crucial time in our industry and organization’s offering. As a Digital Strategist, you’ll be at the heart of creative testing within the Publicis Data & Insights teams as part of the performance strategy group.

In the world of digital advertising, we know what’s right’ today will never stay that way. We must constantly test, iterate, and evolve to maximize our performance because data wins all arguments.

With a holistic background of digital experience, the Digital Strategist will develop transformative creative testing frameworks and digital strategies to help our clients achieve digital excellence.

  • To do so, this role relies heavily on collaboration : with analysts to identify insights and opportunities within available first and third-party data sources;
  • with media teams to craft plans using innovative tactics to reach audiences on digital platforms; and with creative and production teams to influence creative outputs in support of learning agendas.

    Ultimately, this individual will be accountable to key stakeholders for delivering a clear opinion on how to win that drives a more succinct and thought-provoking creative product.

    Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in strategy development for digital and social initiatives for clients
  • Work with agency teams to understand client business in detail and be the voice of the consumer for clients
  • Be able to source, digest and interpret business information and consumer / market data / cultural trends from a variety of sources, establishing facts and drawing smart conclusions to : solve day-to-day client problemsarticulate trends / changes to consumer behaviour and the impact on motivations and needsdevelop clear and impactful client decks / presentations & POV documents
  • Be intimately familiar with data metrics & terminology and be able to clearly articulate data asks and objectives to analysts and data strategists
  • Deliver clear, concise, and persuasive briefings to creative teams (in support of established learning agendas)
  • Developing test and learn frameworks for clients across multiple digital channels
  • Show interest around the latest thinking and inspiration on human psychology and behavioral science
  • Work closely with inter-agency and outside agency partners to create integrated approaches to campaigns, requiring working understanding of multiple marketing disciplines
  • Qualifications

  • 3+ years of strategy (or relevant field) experience, with clear evidence of strategic thinking and experience in digital platforms using paid media (particularly web, email, OLA, OLV & social;
  • app experience is a plus)

  • Experience developing digital ecosystems and content strategies is also considered an asset
  • Experience with testing creative concepts & developing A / B testing and optimization strategies across digital platforms
  • Experience and / or knowledge of creating customer data-driven consumer journeys considered an asset, but not required
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook Business / Ads manager
  • Experience using social listening tools an asset
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and responsibility
  • Client facing experience in an advertising environment an asset
