NATURE AND SCOPE :

Jays Shop is looking for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join our roster for the 2020 season. Our team driven culture and exhilarating atmosphere has established Jays Shop as the leading destination for Toronto Blue Jays official team merchandise.

We are seeking Sales Associates who have a desire to not only to win on the field, but off the field as well. You have the unique opportunity to outfit diverse fans as they unite in the ever-growing Blue Jays community.

Creating unforgettable fan moments, building lasting relationships, and facilitating the ultimate fan experience are the primary responsibilities of all individuals filling this role.

Please note this is a contract position.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Enthusiastically interact with our fans in a helpful, respectful and timely manner; attending to their needs to deliver the ultimate fan experience
  • Effectively communicate product features, promotions, offered services, and team information
  • Maintain appearance of the sales floor / kiosk and ensure all merchandise is displayed in a visually appealing and profitable approach
  • Ensure all day-to-day store and stadium operations are carried out professionally and in an orderly manner
  • Communicate customer feedback with team to enrich overall fan experience
  • Process sales transactions on the POS, balancing the cash register and organizing sales receipts / reports when needed
  • Accountable for achieving retail sales goals, departmental objectives and promoting organizational values
  • Perform additional duties as required
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Previous retail or customer service experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player and possesses a collaborative frame of mind
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and organized
  • Outgoing, passionate and self-motivated
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and works efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays
  • Must be available to work all Toronto Blue Jays home games and other Rogers Centre events (including concerts)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays is required
