The Business Development Manager is responsible for business development, strategy, targeted gross margin at the time of sale or incremental commitment, all domains of customer satisfaction, and has shared responsibility with the associated internal delivery team for success.
This position is responsible for long-term positioning and capture execution for background check key opportunities across all Canadian provinces to include responsibility for network expansion through affiliate and partner acquisitions.
This position applies competitive assessments, develops teaming and solution strategies, and delivers IDEMIA messaging to key customer stakeholders This position will work with cross-
functional and operational teams both in Canada and the US to balance resource priorities to ensure continual, consistent progress through marketing, solution, and staffing, teaming and pricing elements of the capture plan.
Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to) :
Develops and executes strategic and tactical plans, both short and long range, for the pursuit and successful capture of key opportunities and collection of opportunities
Applies strategy development framework to capture current understanding of critical customers’ program goals; assessment of competitive market;
and translation of IDEMIA winning strategy to development of proposed offering
Create and maintain a strategic and tactical account plant for each customer within the sector
Provide timely and accurate forecast and affiliate partner updates and execute aggregate plans the deliver the target revenue and bookings each quarter
Execute capture plan for each opportunity and provide all required reports database updates in a timely and professional manner
Maintain current account profiles for all customer contacts and changing in strategies and tactics
Assure that the marketing efforts are effective and determine if and when the assistance in the sales or affiliate partner process is needed.
Achieve designated levels of growth of the network
Partners closely with the US Partner Search team to ensure that expectations for delivery are appropriately set
Conducts regular meetings with solutions and program team, stimulating cross organizational leverage, common communication and messaging success in the region
Manage all facets of Affiliate / Partner retention, including participating in the resolution of customer concerns and defining and developing a customer contact strategy
Work with marketing and product managers to define and provide requirements for new products and required demonstrations

Qualifications, Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or a combination of education and experience that would enable performance of the full scope of the position.
10 - 12+ years of relevant experience as a marketing and business development professional showing upward growth in a customer and consumer-facing business
Travel Requirement, Working Conditions and Physical Demands :
Travel requirement, such as :
Travel will be required; should not exceed 50% of the time, but may be more than 50% during key projects.
Working Conditions, such as :
General office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
Physical Demands, such as :
Office environment where the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts;
