What is the opportunity?

As the Director, HNW Home and Auto, you will lead a national team of Risk Assessment Insurance Specialists, responsible for building trusted relationships with Wealth Advisors within RBC Wealth Management Canada and earning the right to work with their High Net Worth clients.

You will provide Sales Leadership for the recruitment, onboarding and day to day sales management of a national team of Risk Assessment Insurance Specialists who provide advice based Home and Auto insurance solutions through a personalized risk assessment approach to protect client’s wealth, possessions and lifestyle.

It is a unique role that bridges both wholesaling and retail. This hybrid role allows your team to benefit from various lead generating distribution partnerships while maintaining control of the sales process and the client experience.

You will effectively manage a team that builds relationships with Wealth advisors within assigned Wealth Management locations while working with other RBC Insurance High Net Worth Specialists to provide complete insurance solutions to HNW clients.

What will you do?

  • Manage a Risk Assessment Insurance Specialist team across the country that effectively partners with Wealth advisors to meet their client’s individual needs through HNW Home and Auto solutions to protect their wealth, possessions and lifestyle
  • Build a culture that supports the Wealth Advisor and their HNW client with a trusted and exceptional client experience that promotes effective cross selling between the team and other RBCI partners
  • Recruit and onboard a national team of Risk Assessment Insurance Specialists
  • Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance management, supporting career development and rewarding strong performance across sales team
  • Coordinate with Advice Centre support teams to ensure all Wealth Advisor client referrals receive superior service
  • Must-have

  • General Insurance license including Accident & Sickness
  • Minimum 10 years industry experience
  • Minimum 2 3 years Sales Leadership experience
  • Experience with high net worth clients
  • University degree
  • Underwriting Experience
