Buyer / Planner and Logistics Job Summary :
Observe all safety rules and regulations, avoiding any violations, staying up to date with regulatory training
Perform the work with the highest quality standards
Conduct business adhering to company values and highest integrity standards
Define, maintain and update material planning parameters for SKUs that will be procured from China facility
Use MRP system (or similar) to generate Purchase Orders to procure material from China Location
Collaborate with Canada Sales Leader to refine inventory requirements to satisfy future customer requirements
Provide China location with a forecast for consumption over future months
Work with China facility to obtain shipping documents
Coordinate shipments to transport product from China to Canada
Support custom brokers providing the necessary information to execute import and export processes
Collaborate with warehouse team to fix any documentation problem related to received shipments
Collaborate with Order management team to fix any customer order problem that prevents warehouse from fulfilling the order
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills to perform system transactions, print documents, data analysis, etc. Experience with computer software like Microsoft Outlook for emails, Windows (excel, word, power point)
Understanding of material planning and replenishment methods (min / max, safety stock calculation, lead times, etc.)
Capable to work with transportation companies to perform international and Canada domestic shipments
Capable to work with custom broker companies to perform international shipments
Excellent communication skills
