POSITION HIGHLIGHTS :

We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Business Analytics Consultant role. You will bring your well-honed skills to the organization by interpreting, implementing and communicating business strategies within B.

C.'s fastest growing health authority.

You will provide advanced analytic services in projection modelling, capacity projection, predictive and prescriptive analysis to support the planning, evaluation, risk management, and strategic capacity initiatives for contracted services in Fraser Health.

Also you will discover business risks and opportunities through the application of rigorous scientific methodology, statistics, algorithms, and utilization of system / operational engineering principles.

Your responsibilities will include to :

  • Provide advanced analytics services to support leaders in Fraser Health with viable alternatives for informed, strategic decision-making in contracted services and capacity planning, including system-wide gap analysis, predictive and prescriptive analysis, contract lifecycle management and risk management.
  • Provide a comprehensive diagnostic and business intelligence engineering support in contracted services by conducting process analysis, modelling and root cause analysis to identify business structural barriers, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement and investment.
  • Quantify impact of current state, modeling and assessing alternative solutions. Extracts necessary information from available databases, designs and conducts physical sampling where data is unavailable.
  • Applies complex modeling and optimization techniques in the generation of solutions and recommends systems-wide business process improvement strategies.

    Develops measuring tools to monitor impact of applied solutions.

  • Provide mentorship, support and professional development to staff who are responsible for systems diagnostics and analysis at assigned functional area.
  • Provides guidance and professional consultation to others in all stages of the process improvement work for analysis, modeling, sampling, evidence-based solution development, implementation, and progress monitoring.

  • Maintain knowledge of current system status regarding operational system performance and related process improvement projects by developing and monitoring a comprehensive and integrated set of efficiency indicators.
  • Communicates current system status to relevant user groups.

  • Participate in the evaluation, design, and implementation of the tool set for measuring and monitoring system's performance and achievement of initiative benefits.
  • Maintain expertise and current knowledge on worldwide research regarding application of data analytic techniques within the healthcare sector by reviewing existing literature, liaising with related professional associations and / or educational institutions and / or participating in research projects.
  • Provide recommendations to the Manager regarding the assignment of staff and distribution of team resources within the assigned sites and / or assignment of staff at other sites, as needed.
  • Support the development and enhancement of data management and governance practices.
  • Participate and attends various meetings regarding business intelligence system efficiency as required; chairs and / or leads the discussion groups, as assigned.
  • Are you motivated to join us? We will be looking for you to have :

  • A master's degree in Management Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years recent related experience, including two (2) years' experience in a consulting role with demonstrated experience in the application of process improvement techniques on large scale systems
  • Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to personal vehicle for business related purposes.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
