CIVIL ESTIMATING MANAGER

Thinkingabout the next step in your civil estimating career? We have the idealopportunity! As Civil Estimating Manager, you will bring yourconstruction industry experience to play a key role on our Business Developmentteam and confidently lead us through the bid process, beginning to end, toensure all bids are submitted on time with the highest of quality.

You have excellent attention to detail, andyou will ensure proposals meet consistent standards and coordinate thecollection of key inputs such as scope, costs, engineering requirements,examples of previous projects, and other information required to respond tobids or RFP’s.

In addition, you are able to build and maintain strongrelationships with internal and external stakeholders and bring lots of energyto make process recommendations to support our culture of continuousimprovement.

KeyResponsibilities :

Managethe bid process including initiating bid kick off meetings with internalstakeholders, respond to pre-qualifications, RFQ’s, RFP’s and preparing bid forGeneral Manager’s review and approval

Preparecontract briefing sheets and communicate to Operations

Documentcustomer requirements, working with internal departments, and create proposalsto meet requirements

Maintainstrong internal relationships to gather relevant, accurate, information

Calculationof quantities and take offs

Co-ordinatepricing from subcontractors and material suppliers

Preparingbid bond and insurance requests for contracts

Updateand maintain contract and customer files

RequiredCompetencies :

Bachelor’sdegree in Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology

5+years of relevant experience with estimating, bid management, and contractmanagement

Experiencein the Construction industry is considered an asset

Superiorcommunication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, including meetingfacilitation

Excellenttime management, organization, and prioritization skills

Proficiencywith estimating systems including B2W, HCSS HeavyBid, as well as MS Office

Abilityto work independently to complete team deliverables in a fast-paced environment
