    General Purpose of the Role / Job Position Summary Description :

    Nokia Software is the Nokia business group focused on providing experience, operations and network software products and solutions to empower customers to thrive in digital time.

    In this newly created position for Nokia Software, the Director of Communication Strategy will research, develop and implement end-to-end communication strategy (internal and external) for Nokia Software Products including all domains and projects, with a view to increasing visibility within Nokia and the external marketplace and creating compelling messages that build reputation, increase share of voice, and position Nokia Software top-of-mind among its key audiences

    Reports to : Head of Business and Market Strategy, Nokia Software

    Key Responsibilities / Functions :

  • Define The strategy, vision, and tactical execution plans across the business unit to increase awareness and understanding and drive behavior that influences key business indicators and profitability
  • Lead The implementation of communication strategies, plans and tactics aligned with best practices in the profession to deliver excellence backed by measurable results
  • Drive - Thought leadership among subject matter experts within the business unit to create a unique selling proposition and elevate Nokia Software’s brand DNA
  • Perform - Primary and secondary research for internal and external audiences to inform strategic decision making and create customized and highly targeted strategies that influence positive business outcomes
  • Contribute Strategic communication expertise across Products building a cohesive, collaborate culture that connects the work of team members to the business vision and promotes Nokia Software’s portfolio to its audiences
  • Key KPI :

  • Measurable impact of communication on business results
  • Location : Candidate should be located in : Ottawa or Mississauga, ON; or San Jose, CA.

    Required Minimum Qualifications : (Education, Technical Skills / Knowledge)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the communications profession with significant experience in strategy, marketing, research, internal and change communication, writing, presentation skills (Master s preferred)
  • At least 10 years of experience in senior communication leadership roles
  • Proven, real-world experience in Communication research and analysisCommunication strategyInternal / external brand positioning and developmentDelivering measurable results against business needs Audience analysis and profiling Creative thinking that distinguishes the company from its competitionContent developmentProject management Communication leadership
  • Experience in collaborating with virtual teams to accomplish complex objectives

  • Knowledge of Nokia Software, its portfolio, vision, direction, and business needs
  • Knowledge of the software market and industry dynamics in the context of communication needs
