As a Program Administration Assistant with Vancouver Coastal Health you will :
Work as a member of a multidisciplinary community health team, to provide administrative services and program support for Addictions and / or HIV / AIDS Services.
Act as a receptionist, schedule and confirm client appointments, create and maintain client records, receive and distribute client laboratory reports, and organize and process methadone applications.
Perform word processing and transcription duties; arrange, attend and take minutes of meetings, maintain and compile statistics, assist with research and other special projects, set up and maintain electronic and paper filing systems, and receive incoming / outgoing material.
Maintain inventory of program supplies, arrange for maintenance and repairs to the office and office equipment, operate office equipment, orient new and relief team members to the administrative policies and procedures, and engage in on-going team planning, and quality improvement activities.
Education & Experience
Grade 12 supplemented with an approved Medical Office Assistant / Secretarial program and three (3) years’ recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge & Abilities

Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Knowledge of and proficiency in relevant software, including word processing, spreadsheet, graphic and database software application.
Ability to work with marginalized people struggling with severe illnesses and chemical dependency.

Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
