SS&C Technologies Canada is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional to assist in the testing and delivery of SS&C’s world class products in a dynamic development environment.
This Senior Quality Assurance professional will be assisting in testing and delivery of VisionFI client reporting SS&C Vision FI (Financial Insights) is a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for designing, producing and distributing client communications.
It enables everyone in organization to create high-quality reports in a matter of minutes. And it allows to deliver information to clients through their preferred channels, whether that’s print, email or online through a customizable portal.
SS&C Vision FI makes the process more agile, cost-efficient and capable of keeping up with changing communication needs.
The successful candidate will possess great communication skills and a proven track record of delivering results.The applicant should be a fast learner and able to work on many high profile projects simultaneously.
Skills Required :
Design, document, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases, including automated test scripts
Ensure full lifecycle testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance and load tests
Log defects and recreate them as needed, track defects through to resolution
Help investigate customer problems as needed and participate in production release testing
Take initiative for software quality process efficiency and improvements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and propose practical solutions
Experience in developing test strategies and approaches for the effective use of automated test tools
Participate in project planning, estimation, iteration planning, and daily stand-up meetings
Collaborate with other engineers, communicate progress and challenges and solicit input from Development and Product Management
Execute and maintain automated test scripts, assuring continuous testing process
Strong fundamentals with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
Experience with version control and issue tracking
Autonomy to work effectively with minimal supervision, ability to adapt to fast paced environment
Job Requirements :
5 or more years of experience in testing enterprise software
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Business
Experience with Automated Testing Tools, TFS Release management, UFT or similar
Proficient knowledge of relational SQL databases.Ability to read, write and test complex SQL scripts and stored procedures and perform detailed data analysis as required
Good understanding of Operating Systems, Networks, SOA, Web applications
Knowledge of MEAN stack a plus.
Knowledge of Visual Studio, TFS Release management, Jira tracking and agile management system
Aptitude to think more widely about the context of work and broader interdependencies
Ability to organize, coordinate and prioritize day to day workload
