The Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia seeks outstanding candidates for one teaching faculty position in Management Information System, beginning July 1, 2020 (Rank : Lecturer).
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and leadership abilities.
Teaching experience consistent with Beedie’s Vision 2022 strategic priorities of innovation, social responsibility, and a global perspective will be prioritized.
Applicants should have a graduate degree in MIS or closely-allied discipline such as computing or information sciences.
The candidate will be expected to teach eight course sections per year in areas such as Business Database Management, Digital Business Strategy, Software Project Management, Business Software Development, Information Systems Analysis and Design, Data Mining, primarily at the undergraduate level but with some courses also offered at the graduate levels.
Teaching responsibilities also include regular review of course content covered by part-time faculty as well as coaching students for case competitions.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to Beedie’s teaching excellence, actively participate in Beedie’s collegial self-governance and offer assistance and guidance to students, peers and the academic community through activities such as committee work, mentorship and experiential learning opportunities.

We expect the position will start July 1, 2020 or on a mutually agreed upon date.
