This is an entry level Union position which entails shift work on a 36 hours work week, 12 hour shift rotation on a 5 week rotation, with 7 days off at the end of each cycle, so balancing your job and your career has never been an easier choice.
Hourly rate including pay starts at $27.40 (without 4th Class Certification) or 28.73 per hour with 4th Class Power Engineering Certification and a premium of $308.
65 per pay period (semi monthly). Ideally suited for those candidates seeking exposure to a wide variety of steam plant equipment and processes, to establish a firm understanding of the trade.
Team oriented with the drive to be part of our long term success, you will share responsibility for the safe operation of the facility and contribute to the environment and operational performance of the team.
Successful candidates will be required obtain 4th Class Certificate of Power Engineering within two years of hire, with preference given to candidates who currently hold a 4th class Certificate of Power Engineering.
A background in mechanical and operational troubleshooting, and good communication skills. Experience in the operation of mobile equipment such as forklifts and front-end loaders would be ideal.
Minimum one year experience preferred.
