Reporting directly to the Group Brand Manager, we are currently seeking a Brand Manager for our value portfolio. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for leading the strategy across multiple touchpoints.
This is accomplished by creating solid brand strategies and translating them into actionable annual brand plans. This includes strategy creation, brand planning, marketing communication, commercial strategy and research.
Responsibilities and Duties
Establish regional brand strategies and develop long terms business plans for portfolio.
Support annual strategic planning processes, manage the brands’ overall budget to deliver against financial targets, accounting principles, process guidelines and overall goals
Monitor the competitive environment, routinely provide performance updates to leadership and stakeholders, proactively recommend changes in strategic direction and recommend program initiatives as required to Group Brand Manager
Develop integrated brand management plans for each month to dictate in-market activities for the sales force
Lead the development of packaging projects working closely with R&D, GSC, SRA and technical print to ensure brand strategy leads all packaging projects
Work closely with Brand Activation and Regional Sales Team to enhance knowledge transfer specifically on product knowledge and brand elements
Liaise with key internal stakeholders throughout the organization on a continual basis to ensure ongoing brand engagement.
Identify opportunities to achieve goals and or close gaps while operating in a highly restrictive and regulated industry.
Translate the brand’s business strategies into compelling and actionable agency briefs
Foster relationships with counterparts within the Americas and Globally to better understand the impact and strategic direction of other value brands in the company
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or any relevant Degree in Marketing
A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in marketing, brand / portfolio management, and / or strategy business experience, preferably in CPG or FMCG industries
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills, combined with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Strong marketing background with a history in a regulated marketing environment is an asset
Expertise in strategy development including Consumer & Trade activations
Strong project management skills from inception to realisation
Ability to take initiative with minimal direction and lead / manage brand strategy in all channels
Team oriented, strong interpersonal skills
Experience in managing creative agencies
Must be able to travel within Canada approximately 10-20%
