WSP is currently seeking an Electrical EIT to join our Buildings Mechanical & Electrical team, located at our St Catharines office.

Reporting to the Manager of Buildings Mechanical & Electrical this position will be responsible for various tasks within the team, including;
design, calculation, specification, CAD / Revit and tender / Construction Administration services on various projects. The successful candidate should be familiar with a variety of buildings, transportation, municipal, institutional, and commercial building projects as well as industrial electrical infrastructure projects.
Preparing 3D models with Revit program for all electrical systems as mentioned above;
Preparing AutoCAD drawings in 2D for all electrical system designs as mentioned above;
Electrical design, calculation and preparing specification of power distribution, control, communication, lighting, fire alarm and security systems for transportation projects, majorly for GO Metrolinx and TTC;
Complete understanding of Electrical Engineering requirement, Ontario Building Code (OBC), Electrical Safety Authority, and IEEE standards for Building and Site design;
Ability to perform interdisciplinary coordination with Mechanical, Structural and Architectural disciplines per project requirement;
Perform individually or as a team member with electrical discipline and under direct supervision of Senior Engineers;
Other duties as assigned.
College graduated with bachelor’s degree (4 years engineering program abroad) of Electrical Engineering;
up to 5 years of experience in designing electrical systems for buildings projects including but not limited to : power distribution, lighting and associated controls, communications, fire alarm and life safety systems;
Registered as EIT;
P.Eng designation is desirable but not essential
