What will your typical day look like?

As a Full Stack Engineer within the Deloitte team, you will help drive the design and delivery of web applications from the glass through to the database.

You will guide design and help make decisions on the technology stacks that we implement, and you will work with a dynamic team of developers to take the design through to implementation.

We implement with a range of technologies and frameworks to meet the needs of our clients. On the client side, we favor single page application architectures based on React, Angular or VueJS, to name a few.

On the server side, we implement with frameworks in Python, NodeJS, .NET and Java. We recommend both SQL and NoSQL databases dependent on use case, and look to pick database derivatives that align to the stack we build on.

And of course, we look to build cloud native whenever possible, supporting deployments on a variety of containers and platforms.

Our clients are all different; some need customized greenfield web applications for a high fidelity front-end, others need integrations into existing technology stacks or vendor packages that support their business.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will provide the expertise on how to build applications from the ground up on latest and greatest tech, or how to augment existing assets to maximize value to our clients.

Instead, they work side-by-side with our clients and the rest of the team, combining deep technical expertise with innovative thinking and a strong understanding of what makes businesses and their customers tick.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

Bachelor or Master degree combined with post-graduate experience, preferably including client-facing consulting role(s)

You have 5-7 years of experience and you led development teams and enjoy end-to-end aspects of digital development including architecture to hands on keyboard development

Experience producing web / mobile / enterprise solutions in a professional development environment

Ideally you have worked on project in which you integrated this front-end savviness with management systems (e.g. Salesforce, Adobe Experience, SAP Hybris) and worked in agile development environments;

You are a team player who enjoys working with others to solve problems, share knowledge and can help growing and mentoring junior developers and you can work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team-setting;

You like building positive client and peer relationships by developing an understanding of customer's business and project scope and can translate business requirements into technical requirements;

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills (English and / or French) and flexible and open to travel up to 80% the time.

Technical Skills : Client-Side CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and a thorough understanding of how the internet works, Client-Side Frameworks Angular, React, VueJS, Ember, or equivalent experience with other REST oriented client-side frameworks, Server-Side Experience with server-side languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript / TypeScript, or Python, Server-Side Frameworks Experience with server-side frameworks such as Spring, Django, .

NET, NodeJS, or equivalent, Database Database modeling, implementations, and integrations; should have a very good understanding of DAO and DTO design patterns, and experience with implementing database to REST bindings, Containerization Docker, Kubernetes and a solid understanding of OS virtualization, Platforms AWS, GCloud, Azure, Digital Ocean as infrastructure, and higher-level platform implementations such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry or OpenShift, Build Experience with server side and client-side build frameworks and related concerns;

experience with Maven, Gradle, Pip, Webpack, SystemJS, Gulp as well as a thorough understanding the related toolsets that support build time activities, such as transpilation with Babel or build optimization through tree shaking and asset chunking
