  • Reporting to the Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following : Completing daily bank reconciliations along with cash flow analysis;
  • and record discrepanciesResolving any discrepancies with banking service providers, revenue agencies or internal department;
  • Completing weekly / monthly tax reconciliations with internal records and CRA / MRQ statementsCompleting manual tax slips as required with electronic filing as part of year-end activitiesProvide support to internal departments by responding to requests for information and / or assistanceEnsure that the established corporate policies and control procedures are enforcedUpdate procedural manuals as required to ensure completenessMaintain daily statistical reporting for departmental metricsAssist the Supervisor with ongoing process review and reengineering to ensure optimum efficiencyProvide business support on new projects and initiatives as assignedConsult with the Supervisor for resolution of more complex issues as requiredThe successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications : Post-secondary education in business / commerce with an Accounting / Finance majorMinimum 1 year working experience in a finance / accounting or banking environmentGood working knowledge of general accounting principlesSolid PC software (Windows, MS Excel and Word) skillsStrong Analytical, organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-taskExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented with high level of accuracyStrong interpersonal skills with ability to work in team environment and collaborate with departments across the organizationKnowledge of Canadian taxation and registered plans an assetKnowledge of mutual fund industry;
