Founded in 1994, the International Bureau for Children's Rights - "The Bureau" or "the IBCR" - is an international non-governmental organization working for the protection and promotion of the rights of the child worldwide.

We are currently looking for a :
ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT - Volunteer Cooperation Program
Line manager :
Administrative, financial and human resources department
Under the supervision of the administration, finance and human resources director, the incumbent works in close collaboration with the other members of the finance, administration and voluntary cooperation program at headquarters.
The incumbent must be able to carry out assignments for short periods, which can represent up to approximately 5% of his schedule.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing and without excluding other mandates which may be entrusted to it from time to time by the administration, finance and human resources management, the person holding the position will be responsible for :
Record all financial transactions in real time in Microsoft GP Dynamics for the head office.
Work closely with the finance manager to record project financial transactions if requested.
Produce various statutory reports required by law within the prescribed time (CSST, Summary R1, T3010, etc.)
Ensure the receipt of donations and payments from the various key donors
Produce financial and accounting analytical tables at the request of the administrative, finance and human resources department,
Prepare the reports, analyzes and documents necessary for the audits
Manage and report on petty cash
Ensure the production and constant updating of bank statements and credit cards on a monthly basis
Produce bank reconciliation (checkbook and GL) at the end of each month within the prescribed time
Process the pay of the employees of the head office in Montreal and keep a follow-up in the report necessary for the audits
Assist the administration, finance and human resources department in the administrative management of the office
At the request of its line manager, perform any other task related to its skills and the proper functioning of the Office water.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
Diploma in accounting with an excellent knowledge of financial standards in Canada.
Minimum of four years of professional experience in positions ofequivalent responsibilities in the international development sector.
Proficiency in EXCEL (macro, dynamic pivot table essential)
Excellent command of French and English
Knowledge of Microsoft GP Dynamics (essential)
Knowledge of the Nethris pay system
Sense of responsibility. Analytical skills. Initiative. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
The person must necessarily have the status allowing him to work in Canada and must reside, when applying, in Canada.
