What is the opportunity?

Responsible and accountable for the execution of effective and efficient risk assessments of technologies and suppliers, for maturing control testing capabilities, contributing to the definition of controls, implementing new or enhanced processes and methodologies, and ensuring assessment and testing activities are aligned to regulatory, policy, standards and best practice requirements.

Work at an enterprise level to define target operating models and to contribute to policies, standards and procedures in conjunction with the second line of defense and critical functional partners.

What will you do?

  • Acts as the authority and central point of contact for all aspects of risk assessment and control testing work on our technology and suppliers
  • Build or evolve critical interactions and relationships with functional partners and key stakeholders such as Global Technology Infrastructure, Information Security, Protection Services, Privacy, IT Risk, Strategic Transformation Services, Supplier Management and Governance, Procurement and HR
  • Partner with many enterprise stakeholders to deliver seamless support and education to user groups
  • Chair or contribute to committees and other forums to educate and integrate changes and best practices
  • Make risk based decisions about key areas of focus or contention related to assessment and testing practices, and about risk and control issues identified on specific technologies or suppliers during assessment and tests
  • Ensure support for the business regarding operational remediation and critical action plans
  • Ensure our program monitoring is effective and supports resolution of non-compliance in a timely manner
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have :

  • 5+ years of People Management experience with recognized leadership and coaching abilities
  • Ability to partner with diverse stakeholders including technology and supplier teams in complex scenarios
  • Ability to impact and influence a diverse client base
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • 12 to 15 years of experience in IT, with a recent focus on risk and / or security
  • Undergraduate degree in technical field or equivalent (e.g. BASc or equivalent)
  • Nice-to-have :

  • Relevant technical certifications are preferred
  • Significant business knowledge and experience
  • Experience managing in a global organization
