General Dynamics Mission Systems Canada is currently seeking a Senior-Level Systems Engineer to support Air and Naval Radar projects.
We are looking for an excellent team player with initiative and dedication to work with our team in the selection, system design, integration, test and acceptance of the Radar & IFF subsystems.
You will also help lead design, integration and test of the corresponding mission operator interface. This full-time Systems Engineer - Radar role is based in Ottawa, ON, Canada.
Selection, specification and proposal work relating to radars
Conceiving, defining, specification, development, integration and test of ongoing system upgrades
Development and maintenance of design documentation
Liaison with customers through support to the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as required;
Support to ongoing programs development and review of vendor hardware and software documentation
Laboratory and flight test of systems and the raising of problem reports and support to GDMS-C and vendor teams in resolving them
Development, maintenance and test of Radar Simulators
Support to completing Proof of Compliance of products
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, or applicable technical or scientific discipline.
Minimum five years’ experience in Radar, IFF, and Systems engineering,
Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
The ability to work within a small team is essential.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
