We are currently looking for Contract Mobile Cleaning & Detail Technicians !
This is contract employment with Kelly Services (Canada) Ltd. ( Kelly Services ), our preferred staffing services provider, working a 37.
5-hour work week (please note that we do have part-time positions available as well). Successful applicants will enter into an employment agreement with Kelly Services and be assigned to provide Evo fleet maintenance services as a valued member of the Evo Car Share team.
Position Overview :
The Evo Mobile Cleaning & Detail Technicians role is responsible for vehicle cleaning and detailing as directed by the designated Coordinator, Team Lead, Evo Senior Business Operations Manager, or Evo Fleet Manager.
The nature and scope of this role is to ensure that the Evo vehicles are detailed and clean and are available for rental to Evo Members.
Working in a fast-paced car share market the incumbent will need to be adaptable and innovative to help achieve a high-quality Member experience, the incumbent will also assist with tasks associated with ensuring the highest standards of vehicle availability and that vehicles that are available for rental are in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities :
Performs interior and exterior cleaning of the vehicle, including vacuuming, cleaning windows, removing any debris from the vehicle and deodorizing of the vehicle if necessary
Inspects vehicles as required including; fuel level, settings of vehicles including radio stations and other vehicle settings as directed
Photograph’s and records damages of vehicles for review by Evo Fleet Coordinator, Fleet Operations (uploads to designated application as required)
Removes and documents any lost and found items and documents which vehicles the items were found in
Removes and uploads any parking tickets or notice of infractions
Ensures at each vehicle interaction that the windshield washer fluid is topped up
Distributes and installs insurance documents, decals, parking permits or Marketing material when necessary
Organizes work by reviewing daily requirements, checking and gathering supplies
Keeps vehicles presentable for rental by communicating any cleanliness or damage issues to the coordinator for immediate follow up
Secures vehicles by locking doors, windows and trunk, observing and reporting suspicious persons and incidents
Ensures that vehicles are cleaned in designated cleaning areas or as directed by the Coordinator, Team Lead or Business Operations
Works with the fleet team to ensure the highest vehicle availability throughout any given day
Grade 12 education
Minimum 6 months of work experience in the automotive or rental car industry
Work Environment :
Work is performed outside in the field environment with travelling from site to site; exposure to noises, dust, grease, vehicle fumes, and all types of weather and temperature conditions and incumbents may be required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements :
Physical : Primary functions require enough physical ability and mobility to work in the outdoors; walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time;
frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Other Skills :
Previous experience in vehicle detailing or cleaning would be an asset
Proven knowledge of, and passion for automobiles and the sharing economy
Proven ability to multi-task, high attention to detail orientation and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated superior communication skills both verbally & written
Demonstrated ability to interact with members in a professional manner
Proven ability to work with simple electronics,
Demonstrated adaptability to adjust to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
Proven willingness to learn and apply new knowledge and skills.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and manage time independently
Familiarity with the geographical area of Vancouver and surrounding areas that the fleet operates within
