Define tests plan to verify and characterize Silicon Photonics designs / devices according to the target performances, yields and reliability requirements;
Verify, characterize and test passive and active Silicon Photonics designs / devices for high-speed transmitters and receivers;
Analyze data and results obtained, draw conclusions and recommendations and produce reports;
Interact closely with the designers to provide feedbacks for performance and yield improvements;
In collaboration with the T&M team, develop tests procedures and measurements set-up;
Participate actively in the validation of prototypes and products based on the Silicon Photonics platform;
Document and communicate the design verification test results (DVT) and participate in design reviews;
Interact with different members of the HSPC group, internal R&D groups, operations, procurement, customers, manufacturing partners and suppliers;
Monitor, document and communicate advancements and raise potential issues that may have influence on target specs, schedule and budget.
Required Qualifications / Profile :
A Master or Ph.D. in optics, physics, physics engineering, or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Your studies have ideally been related to the field of Silicon Photonics;
You have a good experience in the test and characterization of photonics integrated devices and circuits, including both passive and active devices such as photodiodes, modulators, spot size converters, etc.;
You have a strong hands-on experience relating to the characterization of photonics integrated devices and circuits including RF test methods for active devices at 30 GHz and above;
You must be rigorous, autonomous, be well organized and structured, have sense of initiative and a strong desire for innovation and complex problem solving;
Team player with ability to clearly communicate and report (synthesis) in a proactive and solutions-focused manner;
Excellent communications skills in English and French (written and oral).
