Warehouse Associate - Bonded

OBJECTIVE :

This position is responsible for warehouse functions including, but not limited to, sorting, picking, packing and shipping.

The person in this position may use PC-based warehouse management systems. The Associate may use RF Scanners, carts and pallet jacks.

Works under the direct supervision of Warehouse Supervisor and indirect supervision by the Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Receive and inspect inbound product according to the established SOPs. Includes counting, confirming quantities, determining condition of goods and paperwork.
  • Put away product in correct location based on SOPs.
  • Obtain orders, prioritize if necessary, and select products from the proper locations.
  • Verify accuracy of orders picked, including product name and size, product code, lot number, expiration date, and quantity as applicable.
  • Escalate concerns to Lead or Supervisor.

  • Stage and securely pack product based on SOPs.
  • Place the appropriate documentation with each order and ensure all cases are clearly labeled and accurately marked (e.g.
  • pick / pack slips, bills of lading).

  • Use RF Scanners to electronically scan barcodes.
  • Enter inventory into warehouse management system, verify information accuracy, and perform scheduled processes (e.g., billing, reports, and inventory sheets) according to SOPs.
  • Encourage safe work practices in others, point out areas where safety training and enforcement is needed.
  • KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

    Education and Industry Knowledge :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using a forklift and professional certification in operating a forklift is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to plan job tasks, solve common problems and make decisions as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, oral and written, and must be able read instructions and understand numbers and figures.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (23 kgs).
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Ability to work well with others and with minimal supervision.
  • Previous warehouse experience is an asset.
  • Team player.
