As a Manager, Rapid Prototyping and UX Development, you will lead an innovation practice by finding and testing new ideas and quickly designing, developing and testing functional prototypes.
You will also lead a team of web and mobile developers that nourish the Design System to accelerate the work of other developers across the company.
You’ll help teams develop relevant new skills and help influence long-term roadmaps.
Your main responsibilities are :
Manage, mentor and inspire a team of web and mobile developers as well as multidisciplinary, rotating teams.
Define and put in place the development strategy for the Design System. Educate and influence partners and boost adoption of the Design system.
Organize and facilitate cross-functional research and ideation activities throughout the company.
Work with management stakeholders to identify the most promising ideas and ensure their buy-in.
Work with managers to equip the Rapid Prototyping team with temporary talent through rotation.
Design and build functional prototypes ready to go into production as pilot, measuring impact and communicating their performance.
Manage the deployment and operationalization of prototypes with business partners such as development teams, marketing, legal services, security, procurement, operations and others.
Coach and develop new skills within a multidisciplinary team made up of product, design and insurance specialists.
Work with external vendors, start-ups and our nationwide brokerage community to identify opportunities for collaboration.
Draw, plan and execute roadmaps.
Cultivate relationships with leadership that facilitate achieving customer-centric outcomes.
What you bring to the table :
Graduate studies in a design, engineering and software development related discipline.
Experience with integrating an innovation culture or experience implementing cutting-edge technologies.
Hands-on experience on product development.
Experience managing a team.
Curious, bold, empathic, and strategic mindset.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and French.
Demonstrated initiative, negotiating and coaching skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong customer service focus.
