We operate two Double A, BRC certified state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and are looking for an experienced leader who is ready to go to the next level.
We are looking for a Purchasing Manager for our London location. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility to plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate.
They will be responsible for the budget, purchasing activities, purchasing policies and strategy of an organization, including the identification of opportunities for operational improvements.
What You’ll Do :
Negotiate major purchases, develop blanket or master agreements with suppliers, and engage in all aspects of contract management.
Plan, organize, direct, manage, and evaluate the purchasing activities and budget of the organization.
Maintain the organizations purchasing policies, procedures, standards, and strategies in order to ensure process transparency, fairness, impartiality, and confidentiality.
Develop and manage the proposal, bidding, and negotiation process while adhering to applicable legal standards and codes of ethical conduct
Ensure all purchasing activities support and strengthen the strategic objectives of overall organization.
Evaluate overall supplier health (supplier risk assessment).
Review and assess total supply chain risk and identify opportunities to minimize and eliminate risk.
Confer with management and staff coordinating purchasing activities.
Develop and measure key performance indicators to determine and improve the effectiveness of the purchasing function
Prepare or oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to the purchasing function for upper management.
Generate and / or review consumption reports, and demand forecasts
Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability and alternative sources of supply.
Interview, select, coach, train, manage, and appraise the performance of associated personnel and mentor select staff.
Communicate information to all stakeholders using the appropriate communication method
Audit overall spend behaviors and verify approval process
What You Bring :
strong negotiation, persuasion and interpersonal skills
3-5 years purchasing management experience in a food manufacturing environment
Professional individual with excellent organizational, reading and writing for comprehension skills
Strong math, statistics and analytical thinking
Knowledge of tools, methods, technology, supply chain fundamentals, constraints management
Demand planning, materials management, production planning experience in food or consumer products environment
Enterprise level understanding of value chain, costs, break even, best operating levels, cost, revenue
Experienced using MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and BI data base tools
Working knowledge of ERP environment (MPS, DP, MRP, DRP etc.)
