Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst has responsibility for effectively supporting the business unit by performing the financial close, account reconciliation and analysis.

The Financial Analyst would also ensure tax and audit compliance.

Responsibilities :

  • Month, quarter and year-end financial accounting close and reporting
  • Responsible for ensuring Revenue Recognition guidelines are met
  • Journal entry preparation, posting and costing
  • Reconciling of balance sheet accounts to the sub-ledger and investigating key variances
  • Accurately preparing period end reporting in accordance with SOX and our financial close process
  • Reporting and analytics
  • Assisting with the preparation of the financial reporting packages including : Balance Sheet and Income Statements
  • Undertaking complex analyses that includes margin analysis
  • Cash posting
  • Regular communication with counterparts in Asia
  • Projects as required
  • Qualifications :

  • University Degree Commerce or Business Administration preferred
  • CPA (CMA, CA, CGA) Designation
  • 3-5 years minimum progressive financial accounting experience including demonstrated proficiency with month end closes
  • Knowledge of an accounting ERP general ledger system (Baan, SAP, Oracle, etc.) in a large environment
  • Advance knowledge of MS Office : Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to summarize and present conclusions on analytical results in a concise conceptual manner
  • High levels of initiative and proven ability to successfully work with colleagues on process improvements
  • Manage multiple work assignments in a constantly changing business environment.
