We arelooking for a Demand Planner to join our team in Toronto. In thisrole the chosen candidate will establish a credible single number,customer driven consensus forecast that improves the SKU levelforecast accuracy and enables orders to be shipped complete, whilepreventing excess holding costs.

This role will also be responsiblefor industry reporting, overall reporting including AOP and specialprojects for demandplanning.

This positionreports to the Manager of Demand Planning and works closely withthe PMO, Commercial, Operations, Distributionteams.

WhatYou Will Be AccountableFor :

  • Responsible toexecute daily / weekly / monthly demand planning activities whileensuring forecast accuracy within established targets.
  • Along withweekly projections andactuals.

  • Planning / allocation at door level.Ensuring right SKU at the right location at the righttime.
  • To establish the Consensus forecast byfacilitating reconciliation of the inputs from Sales, Marketing andstatistical modeling
  • Responsible for publishingindustry actuals / forecasts
  • Establish 12-18month rolling plans and storytelling
  • To assurethat the Consensus Forecast logically reflects marketing and salesactions for the next rolling 18 months
  • Toanalyze causes of forecast error and other metrics to identify bothquantitative and qualitative (process) reasons for forecasterror
  • Organize and document forecastassumptions (price, promotions, product placement andNPD)
  • Make and communicate appropriate forecastchanges in the DP system
  • Assist with annualfiscal planning and Game Planningprocess

  • Post-secondarydegree (preferably in business)
  • 3-5 years ofexperience in a related Demand Planningposition
  • Logistics or Lean managementcertification is an asset
  • Working knowledge ofAnalysis forecasting programs. DP, BI and SAP / BW. APO experience isa plus
  • Experience in a large databaseapplication desired
  • Strong Analytical andMicrosoft Excel Skills; strong interpersonal, written and oralskills.
