The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler is looking for a Pastry Commis 2 who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do.

The Pastry Commis 2 reports to the Pastry Chef de Partie in our Kitchen team . We are looking for an energetic, hospitality professional with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, have a passion for service and people, and past culinary experience.

Applicants will be a willing team player, comfortable with standards of service, and will be willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote team work.

Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

    Desired Skills and Experience :

  • Previous significant experience in a related position
  • Formal Pastry Education Preferred
  • Good knowledge in English (written, spoken and reading)
  • Proficient in all pastry production, pastry equipment and pastry department operational skills
  • Passion for cooking
  • Minimum commitment for six months
  • The Pastry Commis 2 is responsible for ppreparing pastry items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards;
  • complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and / or dinner service. They will ensure all pastry items, desserts and cakes are prepared in a timely manner, and ensure a neat, clean, and organized work area throughout and following service.

    The Pastry Commis 2 is responsible for handling and reporting any accident or hotel emergency, and following all standards of service for timely food service to guests.
