Job Information

The Program Coordinator, Early Childhood is responsible for coordination and administration of the Early Childhood Program, including Diploma, Certificate and Dual Credit deliveries.

This includes coordination, delivery, and evaluation of all programs, courses, and training offered in consultation with the Program Head, Early Childhood.

Duties also include logistical responsibilities related to delivery of all courses across the Early Childhood Program, and the facilitation of conferences, courses, and workshops.

The Coordinator provides services in accordance with the mission statement, values, principles and policies of Aurora College, is consistent with Adult Education principles, and respects the diverse cultures of the peoples and communities of the NWT.

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by :

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or College Diploma / Certificate in Business Administration, Program Management, or Program Coordination.
  • 2 years of work experience related to Business Administration, Financial Management, Project Management or Program Coordination.
  • 2 years of working in the field of early childhood education, education, or with children and families.
  • 1 year of working with Aboriginal communities

    Salary Information

    The salary for this position starts at $42.45 per hour (approximately $82,777.50 per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.00.


    Eligibility lists may be created from this competition to fill future term and indeterminate positions.
