Looking to develop your career at the forefront of a rapidly expanding industry? The Quality Control Laboratory Technician will primarily be responsible for performing analytical chemistry quality control testing to ensure the highest quality, potency and purity of Tilray products.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate record keeping and cleanliness of work area
  • Participates in investigation activities associated with problems or failures within the overall quality assurance systems, to analyze root cause, to propose appropriate corrective action, and to document with deviation reporting tools
  • Responsible for internal lab sample and form management
  • Schedules lab samples into LIMS
  • Organizes lab waste for destruction
  • Prepares internal lab testing results
  • Performs data entry
  • Manage lab consumable inventory
  • Performs required analytical chemistry for quality control samples
  • Assisting in development and maintenance of validated quality control methods
  • Maintaining high quality laboratory documentation in accordance with applicable regulatory guidance and Site Standard Operating Procedures
  • Documents test results
  • Performs calibration and maintenance on laboratory instruments
  • Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum of B.Sc. (Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biotechnology) with 3 to 5 years’ experience
  • Minimum of 3 year experience with HPLC, GC-MS, and other analytical instrumentation in a laboratory environment is a requirement
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Communicate effectively and diplomatically orally and in writing
  • Must have the ability to obtain A / RPIC status under Health Canada Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations
