About the Role : This is a full time overnight position. Shifts are either a 10 or 12 hours in length, on a 4 nights on and 4 nights off shift rotation.
You will be working in a Federal Halfway House whose primary focus is to assist the clients in making a successful transition to a responsible community life.
As a Case Worker, you will work closely with the Team Leader to ensure all aspects of program delivery are met, as well as in assisting clients in identifying and solving the practical problems involved in their successful reintegration into the community.
You are a team player who is dedicated to the supervision, support, assessment, and counselling of men or women on parole from federal institutions.
Supporting daily living, you have the ability to develop client relationships that are based on mutual respect. You have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to write clear, precise and detailed case reports.
Using you’re your good decision- making abilities, you respond to difficult client behaviour on a non-reactive manner.
You have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Your Diploma in Human Services, Social Services (or equivalent) along with one (1) year of experience in corrections has prepared you for this challenging and rewarding position.
Police Information Check including vulnerable sector search and Intervention Record Check are conditions of employment and the financial responsibility of the candidate.
The salary range for this position is $19.09 to $23.20 per hour based on qualifications and experience. We offer flexibility, a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive working environment.
