Job summaryReporting to the Coordinator of Sales and Market Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Transit advertising sales.
Guided by the goals and objectives of the City of Guelph Strategic Plan and committed to the Corporate Values of integrity, service, inclusion, wellness and learning, the candidate will aid in the achievement of the Community Vision an inclusive, connected, prosperous city where we look after each other and our environment.
DutiesSource and identify new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls and emails.Perform sales presentations to potential clients to generate new business.
Respond to inbound phone and email inquiries from renewing customers to answer their questions in a timely and professional manner.
Provide enticement to renew contracts and upsell on services.Generate and communicate new sales leads.Address and overcome potential cancellations by proposing alternate solutions and by using approved sales offers.
Update client database with correct information for contract execution.Identify areas of improvement and communicate them in weekly meetings.
Build relationships to provide repeat business and excellent customer service.Maintain accurate and consistent files.QualificationsEnrollment or completion of Business Administration program.
Experience in sales including direct selling, performing sales presentations and calls.Performing general clerical and administrative duties.
Ability to transpose information accurately and within established timelines.Ability to work independently or as part of a team as required.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Good interpersonal skills.
Strong oral and written skills.Strong focus on organization and customer service.Perform other related duties as assigned.
