Reporting to the Director of Workplace Solutions, The Client Relationship Manager will be the prime on customer Business Unit Real Estate interaction and maintain constant understanding of each Business Units needs and future directions as it pertains to Real Estate and workplace demands and requirements.
The workplace is a fast paced, evolving environment and understanding industry standards, best practices and innovative work environments will enable the candidate to provide solutions and strategies for their team or individual projects.
The incumbent will have strong communication skills and have the ability to interact and manage customer expectations at the C-Suite level.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Foster new and existing client relationships at an executive level with identified business units relating to the workplace.
Consult and meet with clients to determine needs, preferences, budget and timeline, specific purpose of the space and / or project and other factors affecting the planning of interior environments.
Experience working with Agile Interiors considered an asset.
Performs interior design activities such as needs analysis, programming, design options, estimating, detail scope development and problem solving.
Develops project and material cost estimates using specific tools and industry standards.
Undertake space planning responsibilities, as required.
Have a strong mindset towards the consideration of factors such as cost, budget, environment and timelines.
Collaborate with the Workplace Solutions team where required to support client needs
Maintain communication with client during project execution and work closely with project delivery team to ensure project success
Ensure the required design elements of every project are : clearly articulated; agreed and understood by multiple cross-functional stakeholders;
managed in a collaborative, effective and efficient manner; to allow the Project Management team to successfully deliver intended outcomes.
Educate and communicate across CRE teams regarding use of regional workplace policies, specifications, and guidelines to support ongoing occupancy and projects within the portfolio
Work closely and collaboratively with other team members, internal partners (HR, IT, Security, FM’s), and external consultants in the development and execution of appropriate workplace design
Working experience using the output of workplace space utilization technologies and can define industry best practices
Have the ability to work independently with a proactive approach to owning and getting the job done
Excellent computer literacy, including illustrated proficiency Microsoft, PowerPoint, Excel and AutoCAD. Archibus or other CAFM tools would be considered an asset.
Work with CRE teams and Director on Strategic projects and provide input
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
4 year Interior Design Degree or equivalent diploma accreditations with 10 years of experience in a corporate environment with significant design, project planning and client relations.
Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken)
Previous experience within a corporate real estate group, professional services, or design firm.
Comprehensive understanding of the Building Code, BCIN, building issues, safety codes, office ergonomics, accessibility and applicable industry standards and regulations considered an asset.
Knowledge of furniture systems
Member of ARIDO, IDC in good standing.
Ability to develop project budgets and detailed scopes
Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking abilities
Strong communications (written and verbal) skills; proficient in English (written and spoken)
Demonstrated ability to succeed in ambiguous and non-mandated environments with track record of being an enthusiastic and effective team player with experience of leading and influencing internal and external resources to ensure successful outcomes
Creative thinker who always looks to find improved ways of working and a proven ability to deliver beyond the set task and to provide real added value to all work undertaken
Ability to work remotely in a virtual team environment
Travel is anticipated to be up to 30% for this position to various client sites within the portfolio
Licenses and / or Professional Accreditation
