UNB LIBRARIES LIBRARIAN (ENTREPRENEURSHIP LIBRARIAN) UNB Libraries is seeking a dynamic and innovative Entrepreneurship Librarian for a new tenure-

track position to be based on the Fredericton campus. The Librarian will work in a highly collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment to develop, promote and deliver research and information services across Faculties, working with research and administration units and a diverse community of university stakeholders in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Key Responsibilities : ·Connect faculties and departments offering programs and courses in entrepreneurship with library research resources / services and identify new opportunities for collaboration.

  • Build strong interdisciplinary partnerships and connections with university-affiliated innovation and entrepreneurship centres, institutes, incubators and accelerators.
  • Collaborate with UNB’s Office of Research Services on technology and knowledge transfer activities. ·Offer expert research services to faculty, staff, graduate students and campus researchers in entrepreneurship and grant-
  • related activities. ·Work collaboratively to offer student information literacy (IL) instruction and research support. ·Provide onsite and online research support via UNB Libraries’ Research Help services, library subject guides and instructional materials.

  • Collections development activities which include the selection, evaluation, licensing and review of appropriate market and industry research tools, business and economics resources.
  • Engage with our campus clientele on issues such as research data services, research. ·impact / bibliometrics, scholarly communication and repository initiatives, collaboratively with other librarians.
  • Ability to work with flexibility, including some evening and weekend hours is required. Required Qualifications : ·MLIS from an ALA-
  • accredited institution or equivalent. ·Two years of business and / or entrepreneurial experience in either an academic or corporate library, or a research institution.

  • Demonstrated success in delivering effective instruction and research support independently, and in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, intercultural, time management and problem solving skills. UNB is the province’s largest university with over 10,000 students.
