Purpose :

AV Services & Solutions is a strategic growth area of our business at Microserve. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the AV business at Microserve through a combination of direct sales, supporting our Account Managers in positioning and selection of AV solutions and services, and participation in overseeing delivery of services and solutions.

Location / Travel : Burnaby BC or Victoria BC. Travel between all Microserve locations will be required.

Responsibilities :

Business Development / Client Relationship Management :

  • Acts as an SME supporting our Account Management team in the sale of AV Services & Solutions
  • Identifies and creates opportunities within new and existing accounts
  • Supports the creation and execution of deal strategy for AV opportunities
  • Participates in key client meetings to qualify, scope and support the sale of AV opportunities
  • Participates in and / or leads client meetings, presentations or oral pitches, and RFP responses
  • May act as an Account Executive for assigned accounts as appropriate
  • Ongoing Development of AV Services & Solutions Offering :

  • Contributes to the development of Microserve’s strategy to sell AV solutions and services
  • Implements AV business growth strategies
  • Participates in management of AV vendor relationships
  • Works with the marketing team to package and present our offering in a clear manner
  • Supports training to sales team, including guidelines to position and qualify AV opportunities
  • Collaborates with Microserve’s Professional Services Team to jointly agree to technology standards and strategies, and a cohesive service offering for UCC and AV combined
  • Other :

  • Participate in setting and measuring success against financial targets
  • Participates in pricing strategy
  • Provides oversite to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoicing, financial reporting and cost allocations
  • Fosters and maintains cross-functional relationships with management, peers, support personnel and clients

  • Skills and Experience :

  • Relevant education and professional development relating to business and / or technology is an asset
  • Experience in net new client acquisition and client account management
  • Proven background and track record in the sale of enterprise AV services and solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to write effective and compelling proposals and business cases
  • Advanced knowledge of the audio visual industry, and the ability to determine how these products align to meet our customers present and future needs
